Material Based Finishes

Upstands

Upstand is a strip of stone installed on the wall behind the worktop, protecting the area from dents and splashes.

Usually created at a height of 100mm, depending on the height of the window sill.

Splashbacks

A splashback sits behind the hob to ensure that food spillages and splashes don’t make it onto your walls and cabinets, potentially staining them, or simply making cleaning up a harder job.

Wall Cladding

Wall cladding is a great way to either have a striking look with a vained Quartz or marble or keep a minimalist look by matching your worktops to avoid introducing new colours and materials to your kitchen.

Window Sills

Window sills can be manufactured in the same material to match your worktops. No matter the shape or size, they can be tailored to suit. Usually created in 20mm, but available in other thicknesses, having a matching sill is a brilliant way to add to the aesthetics of a kitchen, without overpowering the overall design.
